In this talk, Dr. Shonkoff will review what the scientific literature says regarding the environmental, climate, and public health dimensions of unconventional oil and gas development (fracking) in the United States. This talk will highlight what we know and which gaps persist in our understanding of these topics. You will want to bring your friends to this one!
Shonkoff has a Ph.D. in Environmental Science, Policy, and Management, and a Master in Public Health in Epidemiology, both from the University of California, Berkeley. For more information about his background and research, visit Seth’s web page at UC Berkeley.
