Danville’s 4th of July Parade 2014

WALK WITH DEMOCRATS
Participating in this year’s Parade:
  • Congressman Eric Swallwell
  • Senator Mark DeSaulnier
  • Dublin Mayor Tim Sbranti
  • San Ramon Valley Democratic Club
  • Tri-Valley Democratic Club
  • Many other Democrats!
  • Meet 8:00-8:30 am
Note: some streets close at 8:00
    Parade begins at 9:00 am

Location: Meet in the parking lot of St. Isidore’s (where we gathered last year)
Please note that some streets will be closed at 8:00 am. That is the reason to go on the back streets. Come early to park and then walk to our meeting place.

Senator DeSaulnier will be earlier in the parade as he needs to leave early to be in a parade in Concord. We are looking for a few volunteers to march with him.

We will have coffee, juice and pastries for everyone. Water will be provided during the parade. Be sure to arrive at the staging area as early as possible. The parade starts at 9 AM and we will likely be one of the earlier groups to walk.

We plan to have a car for those who cannot walk the mile to Sycamore Valley Road. For those walking, we have flags to hand to all the children.

There are usually more than 40,000 who gather to watch the parade. We walk from the high school to the Sycamore Valley Road (in front of the Danville Livery & Mercantile Center). The walking only takes 1/2 hour. It is a wonderful experience. Don’t let the Republicans outnumber us! Show the citizens of Danville that we do have Democrats living here. Join us and ENJOY!
