The January 6 mob attack on the US Capitol was incited and planned over Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and other digital media platforms. How did we arrive here? And what do we do now? What regulations should the Biden administration pursue? Author Steven Hill will offer new thinking about how we can reclaim the Internet’s promise.
Steven Hill is former policy director at the Center for Humane Technology, and the author of seven books, including Raw Deal: How the Uber Economy and Runaway Capitalism Are Screwing American Workers, The Startup Illusion: How the Internet Economy Threatens Our Welfare and 10 Steps to Repair American Democracy. He is co-founder of FairVote, former senior fellow and program director at New America, and former journalist-in-residence at the Berlin Social Science Center (WZB).
