The theme for this year’s party is that if we work together we can achieve great things for our country. That’s what we did when the House was in Democratic hands, and George and Barney chaired committees and worked with President Obama, not against him like today’s Tea Party Republican House is doing.
When it comes to creating good jobs here at home, protecting women’s health, or safeguarding the guarantee of Medicare, Republicans in Congress are working against us. Instead, we need a Congress that will work together with President Obama to move our country forward.
George and Barney understand that when we work together — for health care, to hold banks accountable, invest in jobs and our community, and strengthen Medicare — America is at its best and the middle class gets stronger.
