Congressman Pete Stark serves a district primarily in Alameda County, but in 2012 he will run in a new Congressional district that includes San Ramon and parts of Danville (primarily the Crow Canyon Country Club community)

He will talk about what is happening in Congress and his priorities in legislation. Hear about how he stands on the issue and what his campaign will look like. Come with your questions; Congressman Stark likes a “questions and answer” time. We are happy to have him speak at our club meeting.
Local Speaker Terry Mock from the American Heart Association will speak about the California Cancer Research Act (CCRA) which is on the June ballot. This will help save lives by providing nearly $600 million a year to help the state’s research community make advances in the detection, treatment, prevention and cure of cancer, heart disease, stroke, emphysema and other smoking-related illnesses.
